Edzna is the major ruin site in the state of Campeche,
near the town of Campeche.
Edzna is another amazing Maya city. The site is well-excavated and restored.
The main pyramid is not only tall itself but sits on the top of a hill. There are more
than a dozen restored structures. Approaching by car from many kilometers away
you will see the central pyramid standing above the jungle.
To visit Edzna requires staying overnight in Campeche.
Driving from Merida or Uxmal is an overnight trip. |
