Rental Policies
Better Vacations, Ltd. is a travel agency working with dozens
of property management companies, individual owners & other travel suppliers.
Our rental policy reflects the actual terms & conditions
applied to your reservation by the various companies with whom we work.

PAYMENT
Deposit - 50% at time of booking if the reservation is made 91 days or longer prior to arrival.
The balance is due 91 days prior to arrival. Full payment is due if the reservation is made
less than 91 days prior to arrival.
Holiday season reservations are paid in full at time of booking.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express without additional fee.
Wire transfer is also available. We do not accept money orders, personal checks
or cashier's checks.

CANCELLATION
Up to 91 days prior to arrival, full refund less 10% (see exceptions) of total rent cancellation fee.
90 days or less prior to arrival, no refund.
CANCELLATION - HOLIDAY Season
Holiday reservations are non-refundable regardless of when cancelled.
A partial refund may be possible if the property is re-rented.
NOTE
Fortunately cancellations are rare. Our cancellation policy, including any fees,
are determined by the local owners and/or managers. If you have to cancel and
somehow we can reduce the cancellation fee, we will do so.
CANCELLATION Policy Exceptions
1- For the Playa del Carmen condo properties Porto Playa, El Taj and Villas Sacbe, the 10%
penalty referenced above is 20%.
2- Playa Caribe condos - Up to 61 days prior to arrival, the 50% deposit
is forfeited. 60-31 days, 75% of rent is forfeited. 30 days or less, 100%
of rent is forfeited.

USE of PROPERTY - Occupancy is limited to the number of guests stated on
your reservation confirmation. Mis-use or abuse of the property as determined
by the local manager may result in your loss of use without refund.
Please refrain from loud and/or late night partying at your property.
SECURITY DEPOSIT - Most properties require a damage/security deposit
to cover damage in excess of normal wear & tear. Upon arrival we recommend
that you make note of anything that appears broken or not functioning as it
should and advise the manager. You may request a departure walk-through.
TRAVEL INSURANCE - We recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Just as at home, when traveling unforeseen events can happen. Please click on
the Travel Insurance link in the navigation bar on the left for coverage & purchase requirements. Time provisions apply to purchase.
MANAGEMENT - Each property has a local manager. Concerns or problems
should be resolved with the local manager before your departure. Neither your
local manager nor Better Vacations is responsible for any occurences outside our
direct respective control. In such event, your local manager and Better
Vacations will assist to minimize and/or correct the situation to the extent
that we can.

SMOKING - Please, no smoking inside your villa or condo.
PETS - Sorry, none of our properties allow pets.
