ISLA MUJERES Isla Mujeres (Isle of Women) is an island north of Cancun, accessed by ferry. The island is long and narrow with a nice beach on the north end and rocky cliffs at the south end. The small town has a dowscale Caribbean feel about it. There are rental condos and homes and small hotels. It is a delightful though long daytrip from Playa or Akumal. The most effective transportation on the island is rental golf carts. |
