Isla has a much more Caribbean feel than the mainland. Beach on the north

TULUM ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE One of the very few Mayan coast towns
wonderful views amid post-classic ruins. Wear your bathing suit under your
and go for a swim while you are there. Arrive early to avoid tour buses. |

MUYIL ARCHAELOGICAL SITE - Locate about 20 minutes south of Tulum on the
main highway. A small site but worth seeing. Muyil actually extends throughout
the Sian Ka'an Biosphere with hundreds of small sites seen only by boat. |

COBA ARCHAELOGICAL SITE Inland 45 minutes from Tulum One of the largest
Mayan cities only 5% excavated. Site of the tallest single pyramid in the Yucatan
and one of the few Mayan cities located on a lake (with alligators in the lake.) |

CHICHEN-ITZA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE The most known, most excavated,
most restored, most promoted Mayan-Aztec site in the Yucatan. Located two
hours west of Cancun. A must see at least once in your life. PLan a full day. |

EK BALAM ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE - An hour west of Cancun then 45 minutes
north off the toll road. One of the most interesting & least visited sites. |
